Marianna Shirinyan takes over artistic direction of the chamber music festival Oremandsgaard

Marianna Shirinyan will take over the artistic direction of this year's Oremandsgaard Chamber Music Festival, which takes place from July 24 to 28. It is one of the oldest and most reknown festivals in Denmark. Beside her, Priya Mitchell, Andreas Brantelid, Sayaka Shoji and Jennifer Stumm will be performing interpretations of works by Schubert, Ravel, Prokofiev, Clarke and many others.

New CD - Niels W.Gade

Marianna Shirinyan has recorded numerous pieces for piano solo by Danish composer Niels W. Gade for the label Dacapo - the album was released on the 22nd of February, which marks also the 200th birthday anniversary of the composer.

Prize-winning Messiaen-CD

Marianna's newest release Messiaen "Trois petites liturgies de la Présence Divine", together with the Danish Sinfonietta and DR Vocal Ensemble, under the baton of Marcus Creed has received the Diapason d'or de l'annee 2015, and the P2 Prize 2016 of the Danish Radio (Danish Grammy).

February concerts

The month of February, Marianna is starting with two performances of Grieg's Piano Concerto in Koblenz and Karlsruhe under the baton of Daniel Raiskin and the Rheinische Philharmonie Koblenz. A third concert will take place later this month in Villingen-Schwenningen.
After this, she will give a recital in Coswig and then play Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue"in the Disney "Fantasia" film concerts in Frankfurt & Baden-Baden.

Events in 2015

Marianna Shirinyan starts the new year after the film concert project and Disney's "Fantasia" with a solo recital in Kleve (Germany), featured by broadcasting station WDR3. On January 28 and 31, she will perform both Chopin Piano Concertos in Copenhagen at the Schumann Festival with the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Lawrence Foster.

Concerts in October

It is a month full of various exciting projects for Marianna Shirinyan - first of all she will be part of the Oxford Chamber Music Festival, then back in Denmark playing two concerts with music by Messiaen with the Danish Radio Sinfonietta and Danish Radio Vocal Ensemble. After that Marianna will be for the second time this year a jury member at the International Grieg Piano Competition in Bergen (Norway), and perform a few days later herself the Piano Concerto by Grieg in Helsingborg (Denmark).
